H-Dupont Burnout Paste 100 ml

It is possible with the aid of the burn out to destroy some of the vegetal-fibers such as cotton, linen or viscose on a single vegetal-fiber fabric or a mixed fabric.
On a single vegetal fiber fabric, the devorant will have the effect of creating holes according to the pattern you have drawn with it. The effects "lace" or "buttonhole" are obtained in this way.

The devouring paste does not damage animal fibers such as silk or wool. On mixed fabrics, it is therefore possible to create contrast effects between the two types of fabric. The destroyed fibers will create a pattern based on the intact animal fibers. This type of fabric is the one used for the creation of a double dye.

The devorant is conditioned in 100 ml or 1L, each packaging being accompanied by the reactive agent in proportional quantity.

Precautions for use

Protect your hands with gloves. The reactive powder is a corrosive product that must not come into contact with the skin. It is irritating to the skin and the respiration.

Work in a well-ventilated room (sour vapors will come off during fixation).

Keep this product out of the reach of children!

How to use the burnout paste?

Start by preparing the “devouring” paste. It is a mixture of 85% of burnout paste for 15% of reactive agent. Mix until you get a smooth paste.

On the backside of the fabric, create the pattern with a brush, stencil brush, pipette, pad or other method.

Once your pattern is finished, let the fabric dry. Once dry, fix it to the fabric using the iron without steam, placing a cloth between the iron and the fabric. As you go, you notice yellow spots on the impregnated parts.

When you are done, soak the cloth in warm, soapy water and rinse. It is now visible: the desired parts have been burnt out!

Let dry. The mixture can be stored for 8 days in a closed container or in a pipette.

Apply the silk colour on the backside or create a double dye with the Classic and Alter Ego colours combined!
