What is the electric vertical heating base?

The heating base or electrical resistance is a base which is placed under the professionnal steamer. This base allows to heat and maintain the steamer at regular temperature.

It is essential to steam your parts in an electric steamer.

Operating instructions

• Preheat your steamer
• Wrap your painted and dry silks in fixing paper and roll both of them around a cardboard tube.
• Place this roll in the steamer and let it set for 2 hours.
  
• Please wait until the steamer is cooled before removing your silk

Why steam the silk?

The steaming is essential for steamable silk colours such as Dupont Classic dyes. Indeed, if you do not fix your colors in the steamer, they will bleed at the first wash.

After steaming, the colors will be fixed and will not run off .
