What is the glass gutta pipette?
The glass pipette is a gutta applicator. It is used like a pen to draw your outlines when painting on silk.
It is used to create a reserve and to delimit your drawings when coloring with silk paint.
It is available in several different sizes in order to have more or less fine line widths.
How is the gutta glass pipette used?
It is very simple to use and does not require to be a silk painting pro!
- Half fill the pipette ball
- Hold the applicator like a pen and start drawing on your silk (which will have been stretched over a notched frame)
- Make your layout carefully and move your pipette regularly so as not to stain.
- Once the drawing is done, immediately clean your applicator with water or solvent.
- Let the gutta dry and then proceed to coloring.
Warning: use this applicator with care. Indeed, it is made of glass, so it is fragile.
